Who we are

If we emailed you first

We contact businesses whose public websites we think we can improve. To do that we collect business information that is already public: the business name, website, address, phone number, and the name, role and work email address of a person likely to be responsible for the website. We get this from the business's own website, public business directories and open map data, and we check that the email address can receive mail.

Our legal basis is legitimate interests: offering a relevant service to a business, using only work contact details. Every email we send includes our postal address and a way to opt out, and we honour opt-outs immediately.We send a small number of emails, and if you reply asking us to stop, or say you're not interested, we stop permanently and keep only the minimum needed to make sure we don't contact you again.

If you ask for a teardown or contact us

We use your name, email, website and anything you tell us to reply and do the work you asked for. Our legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract.

Who we share it with

Service providers that run our email, hosting (Vercel), and email verification. They process data only on our instructions. Some are in the United States; transfers are covered by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK-US data bridge. We never sell personal data.

How long we keep it

Prospect records are deleted 12 months after our last contact unless you become a client. Client records are kept for six years for tax and legal purposes.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it, including objecting to direct marketing at any time. Email us and we'll respond within one month. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
